A man has been arrested after making a bomb threat at Milwaukie City Hall in Oregon. The suspect, identified as Harris Orians, called a transit worker and later the police, claiming to have placed an explosive device in the building. The police, aided by a bomb-sniffing dog named Scooby Doo, searched the premises but found nothing suspicious. A man has been taken into custody following a bomb threat at Milwaukie City Hall on Tuesday afternoon. The investigation into the incident was assisted by the famous cartoon character, Scooby Doo.
The Milwaukie Police Department responded to a call at 2:15 p.m. reporting a bomb threat made by a man to a transit worker. Officers immediately headed to City Hall to ensure the safety of the employees and visitors.
During the time of the threat, the municipal court was in session, and most City Hall employees were inside the building, increasing the urgency of the situation.

While en route to City Hall, the police received another call from the suspect, who reiterated the bomb threat inside City Hall. The suspect was identified as Harris Orians, a 32-year-old resident of unincorporated Clackamas County. Investigators discovered that someone known to Orians was present in the Milwaukie Municipal Court, suggesting a potential connection to the bomb threat.
To ensure the safety of the premises, officers conducted a thorough search of City Hall and Orians’ vehicle. Accompanying them was the bomb-sniffing dog, Scooby Doo. Despite the diligent search, neither Orians nor Scooby Doo found any suspicious items or explosives. Subsequently, Orians was apprehended and booked into Clackamas County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct I and Obstructing Governmental Administration.
