The suspect involved in a shots-fired investigation that took place on Wednesday in Casper, Wyoming, was apprehended without any trouble on Thursday afternoon, according to a statement from Casper Police Department spokesperson Amber Freestone. The suspect, identified as Jeremy White, was found in the same west Casper neighborhood where the police had conducted a search the previous day. The authorities had issued a public notice seeking information about White’s whereabouts on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred when several business owners in the area of CY Avenue and Kit Carson reported hearing gunshots and witnessing two men fleeing the scene on foot. This happened at around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8. In response, the investigators gathered statements from witnesses, reviewed surveillance footage, and processed the crime scene in the parking lot of the Smith’s Express gas station. Following leads, the police focused their search for White in the residential area along Bellaire Drive.
Ultimately, White was arrested on Thursday near the intersection of Desmet and Kearney streets, as confirmed by Amber Freestone. The Casper Police Department is expected to release more details about the incident next week.
