New Haven Man Arrested for Recording 10-Year-Old Boy in Disney World Hotel Bathroom
In a shocking incident at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, located in Bay Lake, Florida, a 22-year-old man from New Haven, identified as Clayton Snider, was apprehended by Orange County deputies for secretly recording a 10-year-old boy using the restroom. The authorities were alerted at 9:05 p.m. on Friday, October 6, following reports that Snider had used his mobile phone to capture inappropriate footage of the young boy.
According to an affidavit, the incident occurred while the victim was having dinner with his family at the resort. Excusing himself to use the bathroom, the boy returned to the table and whispered to his relatives that a man had taken pictures of him while he was in one of the bathroom stalls.
Immediately, the boy and a family member returned to the bathroom to identify the perpetrator. The young victim pointed directly at Clayton Snider, as he was the only individual present at the time. Upon confrontation, Snider vehemently denied the accusation and promptly left the bathroom, which further raised suspicions.
Concerned for the boy’s safety, the family member followed Snider outside the bathroom and quickly notified Disney employees, who took immediate action by contacting law enforcement officers.
Subsequently, upon searching Snider’s phone, deputies discovered a video depicting the boy using the restroom. As a result, Snider was arrested and taken into custody at the Orange County Jail, where he was charged with video voyeurism.
Despite being arrested, Snider has since posted bail and entered a plea of not guilty, as confirmed by court records.
