The Memphis Police Department recently arrested and charged a man who allegedly used a false identity to evade an active arrest warrant. This incident took place on October 31, when officers noticed a vehicle with stolen license plates in the vicinity of Germantown Parkway.
Upon attempting to pull over the vehicle, the driver accelerated and fled the scene. However, the police were able to track the vehicle’s location to a residence on Cable Avenue.
Upon arrival at the residence, law enforcement officers detained four individuals for questioning. After conducting a thorough investigation, they identified Kendrick Stallworth, a 25-year-old male, as the driver of the stolen license plate vehicle.
During his detention, Stallworth provided the police with a social security number and a driver’s license that did not belong to him, in an attempt to conceal his true identity. Nevertheless, his true identity was eventually revealed through fingerprint analysis.
Subsequent inquiries revealed that Stallworth had an active warrant for his arrest. Consequently, he was taken into police custody and is now facing charges for criminal impersonation and evading arrest.
