Prince William County officers have identified the suspect responsible for a stabbing in Manassas, Virginia. The suspect, 28-year-old Maynor Lemus Amaya, attacked a 37-year-old man with a machete during a verbal altercation. The victim is expected to recover. In Prince William County, Virginia, a significant development occurred in the investigation of a stabbing incident that took place on October 29th. Prince William County officers have successfully identified the suspect responsible for the malicious wounding that occurred in the 10200 block of Farragut Court. The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Maynor Lemus Amaya.
According to the police, the incident took place a little after 1 a.m. when a 37-year-old man and Amaya engaged in a heated verbal altercation that quickly turned violent. During the altercation, Amaya viciously attacked the victim with a machete before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, the victim is expected to recover from his injuries.
Despite the incident occurring over a week ago, Amaya remains at large. The officers obtained an arrest warrant on the day of the stabbing and have been actively searching for him ever since. In their efforts to locate Amaya, the police are now seeking assistance from the public.
Amaya is described as approximately 5-foot-7, weighing 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is currently facing charges of malicious wounding and assault & battery.
