The Richmond County Coroner’s Office has identified the second person killed in a September crash on Mike Padgett Highway as Dillion James Rickerson, 34, from Waynesboro. The crash occurred when Rickerson’s northbound vehicle swerved into the southbound lane and collided with another vehicle. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Identification of Second Fatality in September Crash on Mike Padgett Highway
Augusta, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Richmond County Coroner’s Office has recently revealed the identity of the second person who tragically lost their life in a devastating collision that took place on Mike Padgett Highway in September.
The fatal incident occurred at approximately 9:24 p.m. on September 22, precisely in the 5200 block of Mike Padgett Highway.
According to Coroner Mark Bowen, the newly identified fatality is Dillion James Rickerson, a 34-year-old resident of Waynesboro. Rickerson was the driver of a northbound vehicle that veered into the southbound lane, resulting in a collision with another vehicle.
Tragically, the northbound vehicle caught fire, and both drivers involved in the collision were pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
Shortly after the tragedy, Coroner Bowen confirmed that 30-year-old Richard Faber from Burke County was the driver of the southbound vehicle involved in the collision, as reported on WRDW/WAGT.
