Born on June 22, 1933, in San Francisco, California, Dianne Feinstein dedicated her life to public service and made significant contributions to the betterment of our nation. She graduated from Stanford University in 1955 and later pursued her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Feinstein began her political career in 1969 when she was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. In 1978, tragedy struck when she became the mayor of San Francisco after the assassination of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk.
